The Farm Dobson

Josh and Mayghan Watson own and operate The Farm in Dobson, NC, an agritourism and produce farm located in Surry County.

Josh began growing produce, starting with one acre of tomatoes, as a Junior in high school while participating in FFA. He continued to grow his farm and tried growing new fruits and vegetables while attending NC State University and after. Josh and Mayghan married in 2008. Mayghan was a third grade teacher who stopped teaching to stay home and care for their three daughters, Lily, Ella, and Maggie, and to work full-time on the farm. Together they converted their wholesale produce farm into an agritourism and retail produce farm in order to combine Josh’s love for farming with Mayghan’s love for educating! The Watsons love working together on their farm to provide a fun and family-friendly learning experience and quality produce for the Dobson community and surrounding areas!
